No Pets

We love animals — you may even meet the shop cat — but for everyone’s safety:

  • No outside pets allowed.
  • This includes emotional support animals. Service animals trained to assist with disabilities are welcome (per ADA guidelines).

No Unaccompanied Minors

This is not a daycare. It’s a book & record store with sharp corners, louder music, and grown-up energy.

  • No one under 16 allowed without a parent or guardian.
  • Kids with adults must be supervised at all times — if they’re wandering, yelling, or tearing things up, you’ll both be asked to leave.

Respect the Space or Exit It

This is a curated space for misfits, music nerds, readers, artists, and thinkers. That means:

  • No hate speech
  • No harassment
  • No entitled attitude
  • No filming without consent
  • Clothing is required
  • No BO — wear deodorant

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

If you’re asked to leave, just leave. Don’t make it weird.

Low Drama, High Volume

We’re loud — in music, in politics, in art — but we don’t tolerate drama that derails the vibe. Respect the staff, the space, and the people around you.

Refunds & Returns Policy

We want you to love what you find at Phat Tracks. If something’s not right, here’s how returns and refunds work for both in-store and online purchases.

Timeframe

  • Returns and exchanges are accepted within 7 days of your purchase (in-store) or delivery (online).
  • After 7 days, we can’t guarantee a refund or exchange.

Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be unused, in the same condition as received, and (when possible) in the original packaging.
  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required.
  • Please don’t ship items directly to the manufacturer.

Non-Returnable Items

Some products can’t be returned, including:

  • Gift cards
  • Digital/downloadable products
  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, newspapers, magazines)
  • Intimate or sanitary items
  • Hazardous materials or flammable goods
  • Certain health and personal care products

Partial Refunds

Only partial refunds may be granted if:

  • Books show obvious signs of use
  • CDs, DVDs, vinyl records, cassettes, video games, or software have been opened
  • Items are damaged or missing parts not due to our error
  • Returns are attempted after the 7-day window

Refunds

  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll email you with approval or denial.
  • Approved refunds are credited back to your original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank/credit card company.

If you haven’t received your refund after the normal processing period, please:

  1. Check your bank or card statement again.
  2. Contact your card provider or bank — sometimes posting is delayed.
  3. Reach out to us at staff at phattracksbooks.com if it’s still missing.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items are final sale.

Exchanges

  • We’ll replace defective or damaged items with the same product when possible.
  • For online orders, contact us here for instructions and ship your item to: Phat Tracks Books & Records 401 E. Whitestone Blvd. Cedar Park, TX 78613.
  • For in-store purchases, simply bring the item and receipt back to the shop.

Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the return value. Once processed, we’ll mail you a gift certificate.
  • If the gift wasn’t marked as such, or was shipped to the purchaser first, refunds will be sent to the original buyer.

Shipping Returns (Online Orders)

  • Mail returns to: Phat Tracks Books & Records 401 E. Whitestone Blvd. Cedar Park, TX 78613.
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we shipped the wrong item.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • For higher-value returns, we recommend using a trackable service or shipping insurance.
